Einsteigen, Bitte!

With our departure date creeping closer, I decided to deck my blog for this long awaited event. A touch of travel, if you will. As mentioned before, I'm hoping to take you along via this vehicle your in right now, although how frequent the posts will be, is yet to be determined, depending on time and internet excess. I will have the tools with me, so stay tuned.

Ten years ago, when I was in Europe, I enjoyed hearing, 'Einsteigen, bitte!' when waiting for a train. It was said with a little bit of German flair, like there was an actual person standing at the door welcoming you aboard, as opposed to some mechanical device or someone over a PA system making the announcement. Could never figure out which it was, but no matter, I loved it! Along with 'Naechste Station, Unter den Linden!'

Boarding a train ten years ago. I'm in the blue dress.

Also, Bis Bald!!

  6. so looking forward to reading all about your trip! how's your "adventure" with your ipad going? I tried to comment on it when you first published it, but my internet doesn't always work :-( so my comment didn't want to go through, but what I wanted to say it that ipads/ipods are pretty user friendly, if I can figure it out, (I have an ipod touch) anyone can!

  7. Lydia, unfortunately there are some things that I just could not get to work for me. So, I've decided to go with my laptop - it's heavier and bigger, yes, but I'm familiar with it, which should serve me well.

  8. that's too bad Linda, but I do think that even if your laptop is heavier and bulkier, you will do a whole lot more than with the ipad. regardless, if you get too frustrated with the ipad and feel like throwing it out, throw it my way, lol,

steige froelich drauf unt komme sicher heim!
