Mother's Day Tea at our School

At our school we celebrated Mother's Day with a healthy party. (Yes, there is such a thing.) We invited all the ladies of the colony, because thoughout a child's life there are many who step in as 'mom' when the need arises. Sometimes it's grandma, auntie, other relatives, babysitter, teacher, neighbour... That is especially true on a Hutterite colony and we just wanted to acknowledge all those special 'moms'. Our children are truly blessed!

This healthy party was actually enjoyed by young and old alike and here's why:

fruit sticks

veggie and cold cuts sticks with various crackers

and to add a tasty touch - fruit and veggie dips

The children also performed songs and made clay pieces as gifts, which you'll see in a future post.

Many thanks to our High Schoolers and Teachers for doing a beautiful job with preparing and serving the food!
